CARLOS D. WHITING
Carlos D. Whiting, Senior Pastor: is a servant of God, who is a worshipper at heart. A loving Husband, Father, and Senior Pastor of Christ United Church. Born in Clearwater, Florida, a fourth generation preacher beginning with his great Grandfather Reverend Henry Hoston, continuing with his Grandfather Reverend Willie D. Hoston, uncles Elder Willie David Hoston and Reverend Anthony Bernard Hoston.
Carlos D. Whiting accepted his call to preach at the age of 23 years old. Becoming a Licensed Minister under Reverend Willie McDaniel at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Largo, Florida. Being called into a position of Minister of Music at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Largo, Florida under the leadership of Reverend Willie McClendon. Carlos D. Whiting was ordained Reverend under the auspice of the Union Foreign Missionary Baptist Association on January 29th, 2005. Reverend Whiting served in this capacity until moving to Clearwater, Florida under the leadership of Elder Benjamin Adams at St. John Primitive Baptist Church, where he was ordained an Elder by the National Primitive Baptist Association on October 6th, 2011.
In June 2018, Carlos D. Whiting moved to Port Richey, Florida with his wife Michelle Whiting. Serving as Minister of Music at Union Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Sherwayne Phillip until accepting the call to Pastor. Founding the Christ United Church on June 7th 2020, calling people into a deeper more intimate relationship with God. Exemplifying servant leadership Carlos D. Whiting always wants to see God’s people whole and uplifted.
